Florida Gardens and Preserves Collaborative is a not-for-profit 501 (c)(3) organization.
Its primary mission is to increase awareness of Florida's natural and cultural heritage.
The Collaborative shares information and facilitates communications among the state's
gardens, preserves, nature centers, and environmental museums. It is based at Harry P. Leu
Botanical Gardens in Orlando, Florida.
The Edens of Florida was published in 1997 and
is the first product of the Collaborative. It is the first comprehensive guide and map to
the 149 gardens, preserves and nature centers throughout the state of Florida.
Funds to publish the guide were provided by the National
Tropical Botanical Garden, and grants from the Dunn Foundation, Douglas Kinney, Bruce
Matheson, and Walt Disney World. Professional services were donated in part by
