Rain Lily

A member of the Amaryllis family, native throughout the southeastern United States usually occurring in wet prairies, lowlands, and bogs.

Hybridized as showier landscape plants, the original type rain lilies persist in lawns of older developments throughout South Florida, blooming only after a deep rain.
